As plantas que vivem em regi\u00f5es \u00e1ridas e montanhosas do planeta necessitam desse mecanismo para sobreviv\u00eancia, mas at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o n\u00e3o se sabia exatamente como conseguiam essa fa\u00e7anha. Os cientistas descobriram que as microfibras s\u00e3o respons\u00e1veis tanto pelo armazenamento quanto pela libera\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua [1]. Em \u00e9pocas secas, a \u00e1gua armazenada \u00e9 liberada para a folha. Essa tecnologia permitir\u00e1 a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um aparelho capaz de coletar a \u00e1gua do ar para aliviar a escassez de \u00e1gua no mundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para as coisas ficarem &#8220;menos feias&#8221; alguns dos pesquisadores em biomim\u00e9tica\u00a0tentam imaginar um rigor n\u00e3o observado na natureza pra justificar uma perspectiva evolutiva[2]:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Eles argumentam que os engenheiros podem aprender muito com o\u00a0<em><strong>processo mais rigoroso do mundo<\/strong><\/em>: a Evolu\u00e7\u00e3o.&#8221; [3]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dembski, \u00e9 mencionado na sequ\u00eancia:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;\u00c9 assim que funciona: encontramos algum sistema surpreendente no reino biol\u00f3gico, determinamos como fazer engenharia reversa, em seguida projetamos e constru\u00edmos um sistema paralelo para servir as nossas necessidades&#8221;, escreveu ele. Como pode a sele\u00e7\u00e3o natural selecionar uma monstruosidade como aquela cauda desajeitada, que o tornaria imediatamente v\u00edtima de um predador?
